These days there are uncountable numbers of places to find information regarding the honey bee and how to begin your journey into beekeeping.  We don't limit ourselves to geography, but we are a community for those in Culpeper and surrounding areas. Beekeeping techniques in Culpeper will be different than what would be needed in other climates.  In addition, there is a big difference between reading or even viewing others online, and interacting with fellow beekeepers in person.

The NPBA has in person [[Meetings | meetings]] on the third Thursday of most months of each year.  We have speakers that are not only expert beekeepers, but are knowledgeable of regulations and techniques for our area. The best part is that you can network with other beekeepers in Culpeper. If you need a beekeeping emergency, you'll know those in your area that are resource mostly likely able to help.  In turn, you'll have your chance to be that resource to others.
