Extraction Equipment

NPBA maintains a full set of hobby-grade honey extraction equipment for club member use. A security/cleaning deposit may be required. Buckets may be available for short-term use, but you should have your own storage and bottling buckets. Please plan to complete your extraction, clean the equipment, and pass it on in one to two days.

Please contact Doug Higginbotham (dhigginbo@verizon.net, (540) 347-1542) to schedule the equipment. Bloom Date Predictions

Plants For Bees

Wikipedia has information on honeybee friendly pollen and nectar sources. Though the information is extensive, it is for Hardiness Zone 5B. Culpeper is in Zone 7A. The North Carolina Beekeepers club publishes information on flowering plants that is closer to Culpeper's climate, so the dates are likely much closer to ours.
